Hangzhou, China - Panasonic Corporation of China has become the exclusive official supplier of household appliances for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, the competition's organisers announced during a press conference held on June 10, 2021 in Hangzhou.
Relationship between China and Panasonic, a 103-year-old company established in 1918, dates back to 1978, when the company entered the Chinese market. After more than 40 years of development in China, Panasonic currently has more than 70 incorporated companies and about 60,000 employees in Northeast Asia and China, with business covering such fields as home appliances, housing, cold chain, electronic devices, automotive electronics and connected solutions. As the official supplier of Hangzhou Asian Games, Panasonic will provide high-quality household appliances and services for the event, while contributing to the publicity and promotion of the Asian Games.

Panasonic Appliances (China) Co., Ltd. in Hangzhou has also grown into the mainstay of Panasonic's business in China, with annual sales of nearly 10 billion yuan. More than 400 engineers are engaged in the development of washing machines, toilet seats, dishwashers, rice cookers, vacuum cleaners and others, working hard to create new home appliances, residential equipment and other products.
