Osaka, Japan, December 16, 2025 – Panasonic Holdings Corporation (Panasonic HD) has been named by CDP*1, an international non-profit organization, as an A-list company*2—the highest rating—in its climate change and water security categories for 2025.

Panasonic HD earned an A-list ranking in the climate change category for a fourth consecutive year. In the water security category, which evaluates water resource conservation efforts, the company was recognized for implementing water resource risk assessments using the LEAP approach recommended by TNFD*3. This marks the first time that Panasonic HD has achieved an “A” rating in this category since it began responding to CDP surveys in 2010. In 2024, 462 companies—representing approximately 2% of global companies evaluated—made the A list in the climate change category; of these, 78 companies achieved a double “A” rating in both climate change and water security. This year, Panasonic HD has earned this honor.

CDP is widely recognized as the global standard for corporate environmental reporting, and the ratings published annually by CDP are widely used to drive investment and procurement decisions toward a net zero, sustainable and resilient economy. The importance of standardized environmental data continues to grow, and today, more than 24,800 companies—representing approximately two-thirds of the global market value, including 85% of the S&P 500 and 93% of the FTSE 100—report environmental information through CDP.

Earning an “A” rating from CDP indicates that a company has been evaluated as positioning climate change and water resource issues as a critical management issue, and recognizes that the company is appropriately managing governance, strategy, risk management, metrics, and targets in alignment with the TCFD*4 and the TNFD*3, which helps the company to build trust with investors and customers and facilitate its business. Panasonic HD has been recognized for its ambitious and meaningful goals addressing and resolving climate change and water resource issues, emission reduction activities, and for the transparency and comprehensiveness of its information disclosure—including the certification of its Net Zero Target by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)*5. The entire Panasonic Group is united in its commitment to advancing sustainability.

Committed to making sure that our children and grandchildren, and future generations can enjoy a healthy environment, the Panasonic Group will continue to promote efforts to solve global environmental problems and transparent disclosure of environmental information to achieve the mission of realizing “an ideal society with affluence both in matter and mind.”
