Las Vegas, U.S. - One of the world's largest security exhibitions, "ISC-WEST 2016," was held in Las Vegas, Nevada (U.S.) from April 6 (Wed) to 8 (Fri).
Over 1,000 companies participated in this year's ISC-WEST, and from Panasonic, our sales arm, the Panasonic System Communications Company of North America (PSCNA) took part. PSCNA introduced Panasonic's comprehensive systems including the all-new Aero PTZ scheduled to enter the market in this year, highly efficient compression technology - "Smart Coding," and "Secure Communication," a monitoring system offering higher security, as well as our key product, i-PRO series network cameras, network recorders, facial recognition systems, solutions for transportation and public safety, and video management solutions by Video Insight. These solutions were all very well received.Panasonic Tower
The Panasonic Tower located at the entrance of the booth was the prime, eye-catching corner of this year's Panasonic booth at ISC-WEST. The "AERO PTZ" was showcased in front of this tower, and features such as the ability to monitor in all directions including directly below the camera, resistance to wind, vibration, chloride damage, and the lightweight structure, which also lightens the workload, drew much attention. On either side of the tower, Panasonic showcased conventional means of improving compression efficiency by reducing image noise, and the innovative "Smart Coding" technology, which reduces bandwidth usage while maintaining high video quality, is 4K-camera compatible, and realizes the top compression efficiency in the industry, as well as Video Insight's complete physical security solution that reinforces the integration of image management systems with entry control systems. This area also introduced Video Insight' compatibility with door control modules widely adopted for entry control systems, and the flexible scalability of its products, which has made possible integration with entry control systems offered by major access control providers in the U.S.Next Generation i-PRO Platform Wall
On the Next Generation Platform Wall, PSCNA introduced its key security cameras, the i-PRO series, as well as the new compact dome camera series offering even higher sensitivity. PSCNA also described each camera's image quality and specifications to highlight the features of the Super Dynamic, Low Light Performance, and Smart Coding technology.Public Sector Wall
On the Public Sector Wall, PSCNA introduced solutions not easily mimicable by competitors such as a device that combines information from conventional police in-car video camera systems with Body Worn Cameras developed by thoroughly examining the optimal workflow and operability for the U.S. police force, as well as back-end systems. And as an example of cross innovation, Panasonic also displayed the Blu-ray long-term backup system, and showcased the Panasonic's comprehensive strengths.Transit Sector Wall
In the Transit Sector Wall, PSCNA introduced comprehensive solutions for transportation and vehicle monitoring. These included the rugged outside vehicle cameras, new in-car compact dome cameras, line-up of 360-degree cameras, and in-car recorders for buses and trains, which combines Video Insight products with mobile PCs from other manufacturers.
