Panasonic Makes Color Matching Simpler and Smarter

— Automating Camera Color Matching with New Image Adjust Pro (AW-SF600) Update for Media Production Suit —

Tokyo, Japan, September 2, 2026 – Panasonic Corporation (“Panasonic”) announced today that it will offer an automatic color-matching function for Image Adjust Pro (AW-SF600), a paid plug-in for its Media Production Suite software platform, via a software update in October.*1 The new function will help streamline the operation of multiple cameras in video production environments.

Development Background

Using multiple cameras has become common in many video production environments, including live events, broadcasting, streaming, and corporate and educational settings. However, matching the color of footage across different cameras requires specialized knowledge and experience, requiring operators to make fine adjustments to parameters for each camera individually while reviewing footage. The new function significantly streamlines on-site color matching by automatically matching the color tones of other cameras to those of a reference camera. It is designed to be user-friendly, even for operators without specialized color- matching expertise, and helps reduce setup time while ensuring consistent video quality.

Additionally, can be any camera used as the reference camera for color matching on Panasonic cameras, including those from other manufacturers,*2 supporting flexible operation tailored to existing equipment and on-site system configurations.

【Key Features】

1. Automates Color matching Across Multiple Cameras to Streamline Shooting Preparation

The auto color matching function aligns the colors of other cameras with those of a reference camera. In the past, when productions used multiple cameras, operators had to manually adjust gamma, matrix, color correction and other parameters while monitoring footage from each camera.

This new function automates the adjustment workflow using color charts within the software, reducing the time and effort required for pre-shoot setup. It quickly matches the colors of multiple cameras, minimizing the burden of equipment adjustment and allowing crews to focus more on shooting, directing and producing content.

Additionally, when color- matching a Panasonic PTZ camera, the field of view can be automatically adjusted relative to the color chart, further reducing the workload of color matching using color charts.

2. Intuitive GUI: Easy to Use, Even without Specialized Color- matching Skills
