Panasonic India Launches a Unique, Tech Enabled Healthcare Service Platform - JanAid

  • Developed at Panasonic's India Innovation Centre, JanAid is a mobile based platform that will offer all round healthcare services at affordable prices
  • Launched in Allahabad and the districts in and around it, Uttar Pradesh, JanAid will look at tapping 24 cities in its 1st year through this service

Allahabad, India - June 2, 2018 - Healthcare is one of biggest challenges faced across India with issues ranging from low level of health facilities, high mortality rates due to multifarious diseases. At Panasonic India, we have unlocked the potential of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to offer best of solutions to improve the healthcare standards of India at a grassroot level. JanAid - the technologically enabled healthcare service platform, developed in India, for-India, will be available for citizens of Allahabad and the districts in and around it starting today. The service can be availed through a mobile phone will help create awareness and provide access to affordable healthcare services for people who lack adequate and professional medical care.

The information service platform has been developed by Panasonic's India Innovation Centre and will be available to individuals in the form of an application on their smartphones. Through JanAid, individuals can connect to respective general physicians available on the portal. Besides, consumers can further gain access to nearby hospitals and all round medicinal services via the application.
The application currently provides Doctor Consultation, medicine delivery, Diagnostics and Hospitalisation services, online appointment, second opinion for the consumers and will also include Home care Services, Ambulance/Emergency Services, Medical Equipment Rental among others in the coming months. Currently present in Allahabad and the districts around it, the company is looking to tap 24 cities through this service in its first year.

Doctor Consultation

Consumers will be able to gain access to consultation services from qualified professional medical practitioners, who will provide them with advice and possible solutions to their problems upon hearing their symptoms.

Order Medicines

Users furthermore can utilize the application to secure medicinal services at their doorstep, by either uploading a valid prescription or selecting the medicines available on the portal.

Diagnostics

This feature can assist user's to book pathology/diagnostics services online by simply selecting tests they need to undertake as suggested by the doctor. After booking the test the diagnostic centre will then schedule an appointment for the consumer/or collect a sample as per their preferred data and time.

Hospitals

This tab will allow the users to scan all the hospitals that are available on the JanAid platform and are present in and around their vicinity and accordingly book an appointment with available specialists for consultation or further treatment or procedures at special discounted rates. Dedicated staff of medical assistance across 8 hospitals in our network will be your guide through the end user's journey to the hospital.
