Will showcase revolutionary “Capture, Create, Deliver” video-production solutions.
Tokyo, Japan – Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd. and Panasonic Entertainment & Communication Co., Ltd. today announced that it will exhibit its latest video technologies and solutions at the National Association of Broadcasters’ 2024 NAB Show, the world’s largest broadcast-equipment trade show to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 14–17.
The booth will showcase the innovative KAIROS live-video production platform, entry-level 4K PTZ Camera Systems, an advanced AI-based Video Mixer and a new Software Control Panel, as well as the company’s latest products incorporating advanced video technologies and solutions for increased operational efficiency and creativity. The Panasonic Connect booth, located in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (Booth C3310), will exhibit and demonstrate an impressive array of advanced technologies and solutions, organized into four zones representing the video production workflow, as expressed in the overall theme of “Capture, Create, Deliver.”
Sports Broadcasting Set: Visitors will learn how this IP-based shooting solution for broadcasters and studios helps to achieve greater operational efficiency and enhanced creativity. Panasonic’s Studio Camera and AW-UE160W/K 4K Integrated Camera in this zone will be connected to the KAIROS IT/IP Platform in the Create Zone via SMPTE ST 2110, allowing visitors to see a next-generation IP-based studio system in action. Also, a robotic camera system (reference exhibit. Product availability may vary depending on country) will combine the outdoor-ready AW-UR100 4K Integrated Camera with a third-party robotic system.
PTZ Lineup Display: See Panasonic’s full line of PTZ cameras for classroom, business and professional applications including broadcasting and event filming. This includes the Microsoft Teams Rooms-certified AW-UE4WG/KG 4K Integrated PTZ Camera, which offers professional video technology in easy-to-use formats such as video transmission and power via LAN and USB. Color tones and operating modes have been updated for more organic conference-room video communication and simplified connectivity and operation. In addition, the new AW-UE30W/K 4K Integrated Camera will be exhibited for the first time.
Conference Room Set: A mock conference room will present various Panasonic solutions for extra-efficient, high-quality video recording and streaming of web conferences and online seminars. This includes a video production system using the Media Production Suite, a software platform that integrates various applications for Panasonic PTZ Cameras. Visitors will be able to experience automatic tracking using facial recognition in a new Auto Tracking plug-in (coming soon), as well as greenback-free video composition using the AI Keying function in the Video Mixer. In addition, a demonstration will show how the WX-AM800 Ceiling Array Microphone can identify the position of a conference speaker and automatically point a PTZ camera to a preset position.
KAIROS Station: Kairos Creator and various control panels will be used in touch-and-try video-production demonstration via the KAIROS IT/IP Platform, enabling seamless transitions from creative shooting to creative projection for live broadcast and distribution. Also on display will be an IP-based video production and distribution system integrated with a PTZ camera system in the Capture Zone via SMPTE ST 2110. Also on display for the first time will be the new Main Frame 200 (AT-KC200L1), which supports SDI input/output (standard) as well as unlimited layers and aspect ratios for video-production flexibility.
Switcher Mobile Cart: This mock setup will simulate a live-event video-production setup using the AV-UHS500 and AV-HSW10 Compact Live Switchers deployed on a movable platform. There will also be a touch-and-try demonstration of the AV-SF10 Software Control Panel dedicated to the AV-HSW10 switcher.
Leveraging the innovative architecture of Kairos Canvas as a screen management system for a 32:9 LED wall, multiple video sources can be layered with minimal latency. The ability to move elements across the Canvas feature seamlessly opens up new possibilities for video creators in visual storytelling and fan engagement.
This last zone will feature the LUMIX Full-frame Mirrorless Cameras, S5II and S5IX, as well as interchangeable lenses and other products. Practical workflows combining LUMIX cameras with products from various brands will also be demonstrated.
