Wiesbaden, Germany - April 18, 2016 - Panasonic today announced that it has been awarded three prestigious 2016 TIPA awards, which are widely recognised as one of the most coveted photo and imaging accolades worldwide. The Panasonic LUMIX FZ300/FZ330 has been awarded 'Best Superzoom Camera', the Panasonic LUMIX G 25mm F1.7 ASPH 'Best CSC Entry Level Lens' and Panasonic's 4K Ultra HD Camcorder (HC-WXF991/WXF990/VXF990/VXF999) has come out on top as the 'Best Camcorder'.

'Best Superzoom Camera' | LUMIX DMC-FZ300/FZ330

Panasonic's LUMIX DMC-FZ300/FZ330 was named 'Best Superzoom Camera' and with a LEICA DC lens boasting an F2.8 aperture throughout its stunning 25-600mm zoom range allows you to record the moment in high-speed, even under the harshest conditions with a splash/dustproof rugged design. The camera incorporates Panasonic's 4K photography and videography advances - including 4K PHOTO - and changes how you can capture the most magical moments, from distant wildlife scenes to live sport.

A TIPA jury spokesperson commented: "With an integral 25-600mm Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens and splash-proof and dustproof construction, the Panasonic FZ300 becomes the ideal travelling companion for enthusiast photographers. The FZ300 offers a 12.1MP 1:2.3 inch High Sensitivity MOS sensor and a powerful image stabilisation system for both stills and HD video recording. There are numerous still and video shooting and creative modes, including 4K video recording and RAW still modes. The FZ300/FZ330 sports a large 1440K dot OLED Live Viewfinder as well as a tiltable rear screen and features Panasonic's Depth from Defocus (DFD) and AF technology that yields AF speeds up to 0.09 seconds and burst shooting with AFC up to 6 fps."

'Best CSC Entry Level Lens' | LUMIX G 25mm F1.7 ASPH

The LUMIX G 25mm F1.7 ASPH with its high-speed f1.7 aperture and 25mm focal distance, which is nearly the same viewing and sense of perspective as the human eye, is the perfect lens to give your photos a beautiful depth of field effect for more impressive, creative shots.

A TIPA jury spokesperson commented: "The Panasonic LUMIX G f/1.7 25mm is a fast, Micro Four Thirds lens (50mm equivalent) that supports high speed digital signal exchange at 240 fps and works smoothly with the LUMIX G's contrast detection AF system and DFD (Depth from Defocus) technology. It offers a close-focusing distance of 0.25 metres (9.8 inches) and has seven aperture blades plus uses two aspherical lenses and an Ultra-High Refractive Index lens. The lens joins the family of impressive f/1.7 primes from the company that include 20mm, 15mm and 42.5mm focal lengths."

'Best Camcorder' | Panasonic HC-WXF991/WXF990/VXF990/VXF999

As a leader in 4K technology, Panasonic's 4K camcorders enable 4K Cropping and 4K PHOTO mode, alongside features unique to Panasonic such as Wireless Multi Camera and enhanced professional functions to simplify ease of use for any camcorder user.
