Panasonic Takes Home the Most Awards for Kids Design a Third Year in a Row

The 8th Kids Design Award competition received more than 400 entries,the highest number in its history. Among those, 272 entries received awards. Panasonic took home the most awards, totaling 11. Panasonic entries also took high-rank awards. The Digital High Definition Video Camera HC-BKK1 won the Encouragement Prize in the "Designs to create the future of children - education and understanding category," while the Multiple Battery Light BF-BM10 captured the Special Prize in the "Designs to create the future - consumer design category."

On July 4, 2014, the winners of the "8th Kids Design Award" organized by the Kids Design Association, a Cabinet approved NPO, were announced. Panasonic received 11 awards, the highest number of awards among all entrants. This is the third year in a row that Panasonic has achieved such a great feat.

These awards are presented for designs to contribute to the security and safety of children, designs to create the future of children, and designs to comfortably raise children. Panasonic has received an award every year since the Kids Design Award was inaugurated in 2007, making this its 8th consecutive year. Some of the awards it has received include the gold award (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Award), various category awards, judges' pick award, and the Kids Design Association Chairman's award.
