Energy Star is a program established by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1992 with a goal of improving energy efficiency in equipment and lowering CO2 emissions. Products with energy efficiency that meets the specifications are awarded with Energy Star certification and are allowed to use the Energy Star mark. About 20,000 organizations are participating in the program, and out of these, the organizations that show leadership in the program are awarded with the "Partner of the Year Award" and "Sustained Excellence Award", specifically for organizations that have received the "Partner of the Year Award" more than twice.

PESNA has received the Partner of the Year Award in 2011 and 2012, and this year is the second consecutive year for the company to receive the sustained excellence award.

Panasonic's ventilation fan business first entered the US market in 1993. As well as developing and manufacturing leading ventilation fans, such as its low-energy, low-noise and long-lasting "Whisper" series, the company has also promoted the standardization of energy saving for ventilation fans, leading to the establishment of the standards in 1999. In 2000, the company also received its first Energy Star certification in the US. Since then, the company has gone to release a wide range of energy-saving ventilation fans, with currently 55 out of the 59 models receiving Energy Star Certification. Receiving the award for the fourth consecutive year highlights the environmental performance of the products and the company's commitment to the environment.
