Panasonic Holdings Updates Sustainability Content on Corporate Website and Releases Sustainability Data Book 2022

Osaka, Japan - On August 31, 2022, Panasonic Holdings Corporation updated the Sustainability section of its corporate website and released its Sustainability Data Book 2022. The Group promotes fair and honest business activities and continues to publicly disclose information to society explaining its efforts based on the fundamental belief that a company is a public entity of society.

Through its Basic Business Philosophy, the Panasonic Group aims to maintain and expand its contributions to solving global environmental problems and supporting the physical and spiritual health and well-being of people through the open and honest actions of each employee. Panasonic believes that this is the true essence of sustainability in management.

 

 

The Sustainability section of the Panasonic Group's website provides comprehensive reports on its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives including specific activities. From these reports, key themes of interest based on stakeholder feedback have been selected, and compiled into the Sustainability Data Book 2022, now made available to the public.

1. The report includes information on the Group’s approach to sustainability, its implementation, the management structure for key issues, details of its activities, and achievements.


2. Environment:
The report includes information on the Panasonic Group's Panasonic GREEN IMPACT long-term vision for the environment as well as its targets for CO2 emission reductions and avoided emissions outlined in its environmental action plan, GREEN IMPACT PLAN 2024, which is a milestone toward the Group’s 2050 target. The report also includes information on Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reductions achieved in FY2022, as well as specific efforts towards reducing emissions. In addition, a scenario analysis was conducted for the TCFD* in response to investor requests, and the results are included in this report.
