Osaka, Japan - Panasonic Corporation will establish Panasonic Eco Solutions Solar New York America, a division of Panasonic Corporation of North America, to manufacture and sell solar cells for the North American market on February 1, 2017 in Buffalo, New York, in the US.
The new Panasonic company will manufacture and sell high-efficiency solar cells and modules from the Buffalo factory. The requisite facilities and equipment will be in place for the planned start of production in summer 2017.
Panasonic hopes to further promote the adoption of renewable energy and contribute to the achievement of a sustainable society by providing solar cells for the North American market in this initiative.
