Panasonic Enriches Its SDGs Content on Its Global Website
Osaka, Japan - Panasonic Corporation has added its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiatives to its global corporate website on August 31, 2020. SDGs are targets adopted by the United Nations at its September 2015 summit as common goals for the international community to seek a sustainable and better world.
Initiatives for SDGs:
Since its foundation, Panasonic has been conducting business based on the philosophy that a company is a public entity of society. This means that the company will achieve sustainable growth by responding to the needs of society and contributing to the problem solving and development of society through its business activities, based on all management resources entrusted to the company. This time-honored philosophy perfectly aligns with the SDGs, now the focus of increasing attention worldwide. Panasonic has put together its diverse initiatives on the new website to provide stakeholders with a clear picture of the company's efforts toward achieving the SDGs.

Panasonic is working to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs through all corporate activities based on its management philosophy. These activities are sorted into three categories: (1) providing value through business activities; (2) promoting responsible business conduct; and (3) social contributions by the company and its employees.

Top executives of Panasonic's all seven divisional companies and five divisions particularly relevant to SDG initiatives illustrate how they address the SDGs as priority initiatives.
