Panasonic "Annual Report 2019" Published
Osaka, Japan - On December 10, 2019, Panasonic Corporation published the second part of its "Annual Report 2019" to complete the first part published on September 20. This year's Annual Report is published in a series of two parts to provide up-to-date information.

Panasonic positions its Annual Report as an integrated report covering management strategies for medium- to long-term growth, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) systems and initiatives that provide a foundation for sustainable growth. It also includes operating results, financial position, and various other information. It is published primarily for investors.
The Annual Report features management messages such as the CEO's introduction of the Company's view on portfolio management, which is a key factor in the new Mid-term strategy that started in fiscal 2020 (fiscal year ending March 2020). The message from the CFO describes the Company's capital allocation policy to promote business portfolio reform. And the message from the CTO presents the Company's technological and manufacturing capabilities developed over the past 100 years, along with initiatives toward creating innovation and speedy commercialization.
This year's Annual Report provides added information on initiatives for strengthening Panasonic's management foundation with respect to ESG. The Chairman of the Board presents the Company's approach to addressing social issues through its business activities while taking into account the SDGs and other ESG targets. Messages from outside directors cover initiatives toward strengthening the Company's governance and express frank opinions on the management issues the Company faces. In addition, the Chief Human Resources Officer discusses specific issues in talent development, while the Environmental Compliance Administrator explains our environmental activities.
Panasonic will continue its active engagement in ESG as the basis of management and thus improve its corporate value.
The Company aims to ensure greater understanding toward Panasonic by conducting dialogues with investors through various means such as issuing this Annual Report.
