Seoul, South Korea - June 30, 2015 - Panasonic Korea (PKL) just signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Korea's largest telecommunications company and a local sponsor of PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, KT Corporation, at PKL in Seoul. This comprehensive business partnership will help ensure the successful organization of PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
The participants of the signing ceremony included President Roh Un-Ha of PKL, and Senior Vice President of KT Corporation, Mr. Kim Hyun Joong and 30 employees from both companies.
PKL will be providing AV and security equipment to KT as well as operational expertise, consulting support, and comprehensive aftercare. KT, on the other hand will be building systems for telecommunications, basic infrastructure, AV, and security, as well as building and operating an ICT system for the Olympic Games.
Panasonic has been an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner for over 25 years, since Calgary and Seoul 1988. There are great hopes and expectations that operational systems of PyeongChange 2018 will be significantly enhanced by combining Panasonic's products, technologies, and operational know-how with KT Corporation's strengths in ICT technology.
President Ron Un-ha stated that "Combining our know-how as an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner for over 25 years and KT's advanced technology in ICT will bring to life the best level of Olympic support.
