Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa (PMMAF) showcased its wide range of first-class security products and solutions at the region's premier security exhibition, Intersec 2014, held in Dubai from January 19-21 2014. It is the largest and the most comprehensive exhibition and conference for security, safety and fire protection in the Middle East.
Registering the ninth consecutive year of participation and in response to a growing demand for surveillance technology in the Middle East and Africa, Panasonic displayed cost-effective security solutions for industries like police, civil defense, construction, warehouse, airport, hotels, finance, retail, transportation, healthcare, corporate, industrial and home network products.
Reflecting the rising take-up of security technology across the region, the Middle East video surveillance equipment market is projected to reach USD 570.7 million by 2016, whereas the African market is estimated to reach USD 266.2 million by 2016. (Source IHS).
The product line-up showcased at the exhibition comprised off ATM Surveillance solutions, access control systems, environmental solutions, retail surveillance solutions, face search products, control room solutions, fire alarm systems, video intercom solutions, mobile surveillance solutions, jail surveillance solutions, IP camera wall and as well as made in Japan products.
In addition to these many security solutions on display at Intersec 2014, Panasonic featured the new 6-series indoor and outdoor cameras, made to exacting Japanese standards; security cameras used for ATMs and sound solutions in the corrections industry; open platform server based recorders; and facial search and recognition systems that are ideal for law enforcement agencies.
"Panasonic's wide network camera line up of 1, 3 and 5 series are among the best in the world. In addition, we are launching the 6 series, our flagship network camera, that is designed to meet the needs of this growing market," said Mr Hayashi Noriyuki, Senior Manager, Systems Solutions Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa.
The line-up of security solutions showcased at the convention received a great deal of attention from the visitors and has been successful in communicating Panasonic's strength and commitment to the region. Panasonic will continue to build on the success of the exhibition as a major step in its drive to further enhance and promote its security solutions across the region.
