The Paralympic Movement Gets a Boost from a New Panasonic AV System

Nov 19, 2015

Tokyo, Japan - Panasonic delivered a cylindrical digital signage system created by eighteen 55-inch video wall displays (TH-55LFV70J) and a DLP projector (PT-DZ10K) to the new Akasaka office of The Nippon Foundation Paralympic Support Center, which opened on November 10, 2015.

The Nippon Foundation Paralympic Support Center, funded by the Nippon Foundation, was established to create a strong foundation for the Paralympic sports associations and to help raise awareness for the Paralympic Games. It will serve as a support center and communication hub for the Paralympic Movement leading up to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Panasonic's digital signage system was installed in the center of the entrance to serve as the face of the new office, and the DLP projector will be used to project images onto a screen set up on the first floor window of the building. Both will communicate latest information about the Paralympic Movement to visiting affiliates, media, and passersby.

In October 2014, Panasonic signed an Official Worldwide Paralympic Partnership agreement with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) until 2020 to help encourage and promote sports among persons with a disability through the supply of AV equipment and services. Agreeing with the visions of the Paralympic Support Center, Panasonic has delivered an AV system to the new office.
