Panasonic “MULTISHAPE Series: Modular Personal Care System” Wins “GOLD” of the International iF DESIGN AWARD 2023

Hannover, Germany – Panasonic received the iF DESIGN GOLD AWARD 2023, a world-renowned design prize.

The iF DESIGN AWARD is organized by Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, the world’s oldest independent design organization, every year. This year, Panasonic product won over the 133-member jury, made up of independent experts from around the world. The competition was intense: over 11,000 entries were submitted from 56 countries in hopes of receiving the seal of quality.

A modular personal care product with a single main unit and five different heads. Users can purchase heads separately, such as a trimmer for beard, hair, body hair, or nose hair, a shaver, or a toothbrush. This system can meet different needs for different situations and ages, also evolve along with users’ lifestyles. While diverse grooming preferences have required multiple devices, our streamlined system uses only a single motor, battery, and power adapter for multiple heads, and uses 60% less resources than conventional products. It is a sustainable product that can be used beyond its useful life simply by purchasing necessary parts.
