“Kid Witness News (KWN) Global Summit 2024” Voting for Children’s Video Works Begins: Participate in Voting for the Fans Award!

Osaka, Japan – Panasonic Holdings Corporation will host the “Kid Witness News (KWN) Global Summit 2024” online on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, this educational support program involves more than 3,000 children from 11 countries around the world.
At the KWN Global Summit 2024, children representing participating countries will engage in cross-border exchanges and celebrate each other’s works. Additionally, the following four awards will be presented to particularly outstanding video works:

1. KWN Kids Award: Selected by votes from the children participating in the summit.
2. Panasonic Award: Selected by votes from Panasonic Group employees.
3. KWN Fans Award: Selected by public votes from around the world.
4. Professional Award: Selected by video professionals.

The KWN Fans Award is selected by public votes from around the world. Voting is open in two categories: primary (for elementary school) and secondary (for middle and high school). Votes will be accepted until 11:59 PM (JST) on Thursday, October 24. We hope you will take the time to watch the works created by children from around the world and cast your warm, supportive vote. The results of the voting will be announced at the KWN Global Summit 2024 on Saturday, October 26. We will also be live streaming the event, so please be sure to watch!

Participants will gather at venues in their respective countries and connect via internet broadcast with the main venue in Makuhari, Chiba. The live stream will showcase interactions between children from different countries and the announcement of awards for outstanding works.
