As a Measure Against Heat, the "Green Aircon Flex" Will Be Installed at Venues Where 4 Sporting Competitions Will Be Organized This Summer

Osaka, Japan - Panasonic Corporation (hereafter referred to as "Panasonic") will install its "Green Aircon Flex," which emits a dry super fine mist (silky fine mist), within the last mile between the nearest train station to the stadiums that will organize 4 sporting competitions this summer in order to provide relief from the unrelenting heat.

Green Aircon Flex may be installed and deinstalled very easily on the walls of outdoor facilities and on pipe tents as long as there is space and a power outlet. As this solution has a wide range of applications, Panasonic has conducted field tests at outdoor events, outdoor sports venues, etc. Silky fine mist is comprised of microscopic particles measuring approximately 10μm in diameter. Before these particles evaporate, they absorb the heat and thereby lower the temperature (evaporative cooling). Moreover, when these particles attach to skin and evaporate they remove heat helping people cool down (pseudo perspiration).

At the beach volleyball competition held at the Shiokaze Park on July 24 through 28, 2019, the solution was installed at the entrance of the park helping provide relief to spectators traveling from the nearest train station to the park as well as athletes and park-goers. The solution will be installed at other competitions this summer.
