Going Green for the Future at the BOI Fair in Bangkok, Thailand

Panasonic held the press conference for the official announcement of our participation in the BOI Fair; an eco exhibition organized by Board of Investment Thailand under the theme of Going Green for the Future. What is most exciting is that this is the first Panasonic event by the new region of Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, known as APMEA, in 2012.

The BOI Fair is an opportunistic platform to showcase Panasonic Thailand's drive towards the environment through our philosophy, technology and dream. It also highlights our commitment in becoming the No.1 Green Innovation Company in the Electronics Industry by 2018.

Panasonic's pavilion where you can see how the booth is built to symbolize tree roots that seemingly look like it is supporting the earth. Solar cells are used to be decorated as leaves and the main material used for the pavilion is made from 'OSB woods' which help reduce energy consumption within the building. We believe that to cohere people and environment, Panasonic has a responsibility to lead an Eco life that connect with the earth - which is also the theme of our exhibition.

We have three zones at our pavilion, namely, History Zone, Eco Life Zone and Dream Creation Zone. At the History Zone, you can understand the philosophy behind our businesses and products created from the past. At the Eco Life Zone, see how our comprehensive energy solutions can be used within an eco-town as well as eco-friendly office equipment. And for Dream Creation Zone, we want you to experience our 3D technology on the world's largest 152" Plasma TV with '152 3D Theater'.

We have committed 50 years of business in Thailand to local and global markets with our products and we hope to bring more eco-friendly products to meet the current demand of green and sustainable lifestyles. And as Thai people have given us their warm welcome to become a part of their family for half a century already, we have planned to give back to them by continue enhancing our environmental contribution activities to public more and more every year.
