We're proud to announce our sustainable energy installation "Photosynthesis" took home the ELITA DESIGN AWARDS on Sunday 22, 2012 in Milano, Italy, earning the title of the best exhibition at Fuorisalone (all exhibitions at Milano Salone within Milano City; roughly 500 exhibitions). The prize is born from a partnership between Elita Festival and IED (the European Institute of Design in Milan), in collaboration with Fuorisalone.it and Future Concept lab.

Our exhibition of a sustainable energy installation based on the concept of "Photosynthesis" designed by young architect, Mr. Akihisa Hirata was displayed during the Milano Salone del Mobile 2012, one of the largest and most influential design exhibitions in the world since last week. Find more information about this exhibition at the official website.

The 2012 ELITA DESIGN AWARDS 2012 jury made up of five representatives, Rossella Bertolazzi (IED Visual Communication), Dino Lupelli (Elita festival), Cristian Confalonieri (Fuorisalone.it), Valentina Ventrelli (Future Concept Lab), the jury chairman Lorenzo Palmeri, commented that Akihisa Hirata's design had "the ability to engage and surprise the audience through an installation with a high-tech analogue at heart,[and was] able to capture a pure emotion that recalls nature's rhythm."

Continue to look forward to Panasonic's innovative ideas and green innovation to helping the planet become more sustainable.
