Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd. to deliver a keynote lecture at FLOMEKO 2026

Osaka, Japan – Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd. today announced that it will deliver a keynote lecture at the International Flow Measurement Conference (FLOMEKO) 2026, scheduled for Sunday, May 17 to Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in Nara City, Nara Prefecture.

FLOMEKO is an international conference where world-renowned researchers and engineers in the field of flow measurement technology gather to discuss the latest research findings and technical trends. Through the keynote lecture, the company will reflect on the progress of ultrasonic flow measurement technology, which is being adopted for residential gas meters, and introduce its potential new applications for a hydrogen society.

Since the introduction of residential ultrasonic gas meters in Japan, the company has developed and supplied ultrasonic transducers and measurement units. The lecture will highlight its technical background and design principles, and provide an overview of the application of ultrasonic flow measurement technology to hydrogen flow and concentration measurements in fuel cell systems and water electrolyser systems.

Amid the energy transition, high-precision and highly reliable gas measurement technology remains one of the essential components supporting social infrastructure. The company will contribute to realizing a sustainable society through measurement technology.
