Panasonic is committed to creating a better life and a better world, continuously contributing to the evolution of society and to the happiness of people around the globe. Through its wide range of business solutions, Panasonic is looking to create a "new Panasonic" which can truly achieve "A Better Life A Better World." Watch how this relates in the education sector.
Education is moving rapidly into a digital era and changes in technology are playing a key role in rolling forward new ways of teaching. However, the process has not always been easy. To provide an environment for students to thrive and learn while embracing new modes of learning along the way requires adaptation in the education curriculum and subsequent teaching methods. In Singapore, Panasonic is introducing a range of solutions by using its capabilities in providing hardware as well as flexibility in accommodating various needs through software solutions capabilities.
Panasonic News Portal reporter Fizzah explores two key partnerships, The Little Skool House International and Temasek Polytechnic, for Panasonic's education solutions in Singapore and highlights how Panasonic is making an impact to help educators while also inspiring fun education
In October 2012, Panasonic System Solutions Asia Pacific (PSY) embarked on its first major collaboration with a tertiary institution to co-develop solutions to value-add to its existing product offerings. One of the classrooms at Temasek Polytechnic's School of Engineering was remodelled as the Active Learning Space where students share, annotate, record, and present ideas in an environment that promotes collaborative and peer learning. This was achieved by wirelessly connecting Panasonic interactive screens, Panaboards and projectors via PSYCLONE (PSY Collaborative Learning Optimisation for New Age Learning).
Additionally, the partnership with The Little Skool-House International (LSH) symbolises PSY's first entry into the pre-school sector. PLAY (Panasonic Learning & Activity Solution) was created to hone social development and cognitive skills in LSH's older children, age 4 to 6 years old. The pre-school solution demonstrates how technology can enrich and complement curriculum by encouraging learning through purposeful play.
While both projects are continuing their trial tests, PSY will continue to work with end users to further refine and streamline its solutions to meet real curriculum needs. Going forward, PSY aims to be the one-stop education solutions provider not only in Singapore, but also the Asia Pacific region.
