In support of the sporting fraternity in Myanmar, Panasonic is announced as the official jersey sponsor of the Yangon United Football Club (FC), which is currently in the running for the championship title of the 2015 Myanmar National League.

U Pye Phyo Tayza, President of Yangon United Football Club (FC), said: "It has been a terrific season so far for Yangon United in the league and to have a renowned brand like Panasonic on board will definitely strengthen the club further. We look forward to partner Panasonic to expand our club presence and outreach in the home market and even beyond Myanmar."

"We feel that it is important to encourage Myanmar's young population to engage in an active lifestyle and participate in their community for the nation's progress. Knowing that football is a popular sport, we engaged Panasonic sponsored Gamba Osaka FC to conduct football clinics for aspiring young athletes here last year. In addition, Panasonic also participated in the 27 th SEA Games as the Official Main Sponsor, demonstrating the company's support to the Myanmar economy and SEA Games' vision of promoting friendship, co-operation and peace between participating countries in Southeast Asia," added Maeda.
