Panasonic, a long-time Official Worldwide Partner of the Olympic Games, will share daily, real-time updates from the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, which will begin on August 5, 2016. These updates will share the excitement on the ground as well as Panasonic's efforts behind the scenes as the AV equipment solutions sponsor.
Three additional contents will be made available on the same website - "Today's Picture," "Rio Realtime Tweets," and "The Showcase in Sugarloaf" - to share the excitement at the Olympic Games with people all across the world under Panasonic's motto, "Sharing the Passion."
Today's Picture
Panasonic will upload dynamic photographs from the Games and also provide unique information only available onsite, depict the excitement in Rio de Janeiro during the Games, and share its efforts behind the scenes delivering and operating AV equipment solutions.
Rio Realtime Tweets
Panasonic will curate tweets about Panasonic from among all the tweets with the hashtag, #Rio2016, the official hashtag for the Organizing Committee for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Tweets from Neymar Jr., the Brazilian national football player and Panasonic's global ambassador, will also be introduced.
Panasonic is also looking forward to receiving supportive tweets from all of you! Please use the hashtags, #Rio2016 and #Panasonic when uploading on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
The Showcase in Sugarloaf
Panasonic has signed an Official Technology Partnership agreement with Sugarloaf Mountain, a popular tourist destination in Rio and a registered World Heritage site. As part of this agreement, Panasonic has installed systems and equipment such as projectors and displays, and during the Games, it will open its pavilion, "Stadium of Wonders," which will feature exhibits created using its proprietary Light ID technology and transparent screens. The "Stadium of Wonders" will showcase images from the past Olympic Games and serve as a communication hub for Panasonic in Rio. Panasonic also plans to make available a 360-degree image of the pavilion, which will allow the audience to virtually explore the pavilion.
