Panasonic Kick Starts Rio Olympics Campaign with #YallaRio Promotion in the UAE, Oman and Jordan

Panasonic, the long-term official partner to the Rio Olympic Games is providing its consumers in the Middle East a chance to win a trip to Rio Olympics with the recently launched #YallaRio campaign. The one and a half month-long campaign is running in three countries including the UAE, Oman and Jordan from May 15 to June 30, 2016.

Dubai, UAE - Customers who shop for AED 299 / OMR 30 / JOD 75 will enter the raffle draw to win. There will be 2 winners selected from UAE, 1 from Oman and 1 from Jordan for the trip to Rio De Janeiro.

Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, the Home of Panasonic's brand ambassador Neymar Jr will host Olympic Games from August 5 to 21. As part of the contest, Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa FZE (PMMAF) has also launched social media hashtag #YallaRio for fans in the region to share their passion for Olympic Games on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The project celebrates the dreams and passions of both athletes and spectators under which fans can create their charm bracelet from Brazil that holds their dreams and goals. Panasonic under its 'Sharing the passion' initiative has been supporting Olympics with its cutting edge technologies and remains one of the longtime partners of Olympic games since the first TOP (The Olympic Partner) programme at the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games.

Panasonic is the Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio and Visual Equipment category and has been contributing to the Games with its cutting-edge AV technology for more than a quarter of a century. In Rio 2016, Panasonic signed its partnership with Rio 2016 to become an "Official Ceremony Partner", providing turn-key visual solutions including full system design, projection mapping and technical operations to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Ceremonies project. Panasonic will supply around 110 units of its high brightness compact 20,000 lumens projectors (PT-DZ21K2), Broadcast Grade 2-M/E Live Switcher (AV-HS6000 Series), and other full line-up visual systems to bring the Ceremonies to a whole new level of entertainment with impressive images to the spectators at Brazil's iconic Maracana Stadium, and the audiences around the globe to witness the world's greatest Ceremonies in Rio de Janeiro.

Panasonic will also install its LED video screens and video systems to the Games Competition Venues on the largest scale for any Olympic Games in the company's history. Panasonic's P2HD broadcast camera system has already been decided upon as the recording equipment for Rio 2016. Since the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games, Rio 2016 will be the 12th consecutive Olympic Games in which Panasonic's digital technology will be used as the official recording format.

In addition, to supporting the RIO Olympic Games through its products, services and technical support, Panasonic is preparing for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and has established the Tokyo Olympic Enterprise Division, which will be working towards developing technologies and services to support the operation of the Olympic Games, and to maximize the business opportunities related to the Olympic Games.
