The Yellow Sea is blessed with a rich ocean environment and abundant fishing resources.
Since 2007, we have been promoting the Yellow Sea Ecoregion Support Project, a seven-year partnership with WWF Japan. The project aims to implement measures
required for the sustainable use and conservation of the Yellow Sea Ecoregion, a body of sea water enclosed by China and the Korean peninsula and noted for its high biodiversity value.
The Yellow Sea Ecoregion, a body of sea water enclosed by China and the Korean peninsula, is said to be the world's most important ecosystem. Panasonic and WWF, a natural conservation organization that works worldwide, entered into a partnership and launched activities to preserve this marine environment. A seven-year partnership with WWF Japan, WWF China and KORDI, the Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute, have also been working to preserve this region using our extensive collective experience since 2007.

WWF China
Through research into the interaction between the people, birds and other types of life in the tidelands at the estuary of the Yalu River, the Project proposes more scientific methods to manage the protected area where they exist.
KORDI, the Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute
Muan County, Korea. The tidal flats here serve as a model site for the Project. Environmental protection activities are conducted in a manner best suited to the characteristics of the region. At the Muan Ecological Tidal Flat Center, they work with the local community to conduct activities as a model site. They implement a variety of environmental conservation programs, from ecosystem protection to environmental education, using exhibits.
