The WWF estimates that landings from illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) catches, which is one factor related to overfishing, come to 11–26 million* tons of marine produce every year. The Panasonic Group has collaborated with WWF Japan for more than 20 years in activities to “conserve and sustainably use the oceans.” (SDG 14) From FY19–FY22, Panasonic employees selected 110,584 meals that were prepared using sustainable seafood. By choosing to provide responsibly sourced options to our employees, Panasonic hopes to contribute to the preservation of our oceans and marine life for future generations.
