Panasonic Begins Delivery of P-01B Handsets to NTT DOCOMO
Yokohama, Japan-Panasonic Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. (Panasonic Mobile) announced today that the company has begun shipment of its docomo PRIME seriesTM P-01B mobile phones to NTT DOCOMO, INC..
The P-01B adopts Panasonic's unique style that allows the user to open the clamshell type handset vertically or horizontally and comes with a large 3.3-inch main (inner) screen. The adoption of a hinge that is smaller than the one used for the preceding P-07A handset makes it look elegant and stylish when used in the horizontal-open position. With a 2-inch color outer sub-display, the user can watch "One-Segment" TV programs even when the handset is closed.
The new P-01B features a unique keypad that can be switched to touchpad mode, which enables the user to scroll the browser just like using a notebook PC and use the photo viewer function easily and smoothly as if turning the page of a photo album.
The handset employs approx. 8.1 megapixel camera with high-speed auto focus (approx. 0.2 seconds) and various convenient functions such as automatic shutter, AF tracking and intelligent auto mode.
