Improved collaboration with alliance partners such as Singular.live and Viz Flowics
Osaka, Japan – January 29, 2025 - Panasonic Entertainment & Communication today announced the release of the new software "Version 1.8" will be available in February 2025.
With version 1.8, which includes new Multiple Core Control features, integration with graphics platforms Singular.live and Viz Flowics, and support for more diverse resolutions such as 16:10 and 5:4, KAIROS is a great addition to the game for large live events and broadcasters. We offer video production systems with a high degree of freedom and ease of use for customers who require high quality, rich video production across multiple locations.
The new version allows up to two Kairos Core mainframes to be connected to a single Kairos Control Panel. This allows more video sources to be handled and improves the efficiency of the KAIROS operation at large events. Previously, it was possible to register up to eight Control Panels from the Kairos Core side, but since the Control Panel can only be registered to one specific Kairos Core, a corresponding number of Control Panels were required to operate multiple Kairos Cores. Using this feature, for one panel can be divided into an upper and lower sections, for example, and each Core can be assigned to each section. In addition, two Kairos Core units can also be configured from Kairos Creator.
Listening to our customers’ requests and feedback, from version 1.8, we’ve provided native HTML5 graphics support, which means that graphics generated by Singular.live and Viz Flowics can now be entered directly into KAIROS. This makes it easier to use graphics such as scores, statuses and tickers from KAIROS Painter, as there is no need to convert files before importing them into KAIROS. CEO, Mr Steven Heimbold from Singular.live, said "Integrating with KAIROS expands access to our Emmy-winning Singular.live graphics platform, making live production simpler, more affordable, and scalable." Also, a KAIROS Alliance partner, Viz Flowics founder Mr. Gabriel Baños have commented on this update as "Using Viz Flowics graphics directly in Kairos workflows not only simplifies and streamlines live production, but also enhances creative possibilities—this is a significant development for live production processes".

Our collaboration with SKAARHOJ, another KAIROS alliance partner, is also developing. Version 1.7 supports SKAARHOJ's Raw Panel mode. This means that you can use SKAARHOJ's control panel with new features just like our original panel, but only by upgrading to KAIROS. With version 1.8, SKAARHOJ's audio-controlled Wave Board, Quick Shot Pro and Quick Shot are also compatible with KAIROS and Raw Panel mode. Panasonic's special models "PAN-WB-V2B-BU", "PAN-QSP-V1B-BU" and "PAN-QS-V1B-UB" will also be released*1. With support for Wave Board, it is possible to move multiple faders simultaneously when using Kairos Audio Mixer*2. This makes it easier for you to use KAIROS to manipulate audio. Giving additional control surfaces to operators beyond just a TD allows operators to be more efficient and use KAIROS’s functionality to it’s full potential for live productions. Support for higher resolution ST 2110 inputs and outputs such as 16:10 and DCI (2K/4K) has also been added in version 1.8. KAIROS will continue to be updated by Panasonic to meet the needs of video production facilities that use a wide variety of equipment, large broadcasters and live event venues that use LED screens that can respond flexibly to shots of varying sizes, from large to small.
