Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa (PMMAF) unveiled its strategic roadmap for FY24, at the Annual Dealers Convention on May 28, 2024, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric strategies. Building on the impressive business performance in 2023, the company is poised for another year of exceptional growth and expansion. The announcement highlighted targeted investments aimed at expanding market presence through strategic partnerships, product diversification, and genuine customer-centricity. Key promotions within the senior leadership team underscore Panasonic’s commitment to driving business forward and meeting the rapidly growing demand for cutting-edge technologies across the MEA region.
The strategy for the coming year revolves around the concept of “Japan Excellence,” capturing the essence of Panasonic’s brand—quality, reliability, and advanced technology. The approach lays focus on four key pillars:
Food & Health: Enhancing culinary experiences and promoting healthy living through innovative kitchen solutions.
Hygiene & Cleanliness: Offering top-notch cleaning appliances that make maintaining high standards of cleanliness effortless.
Natural Beauty: Promoting self-care with advanced personal care and garment care products.
Craftsmanship: Ensuring every product embodies Japanese craftsmanship, from precision blade shavers to high-definition televisions, promising durability and exceptional performance.
PMMAF revealed significant growth across various product segments in FY2023 which was a result of last year’s competitive strategy implemented successfully. These highlights included:
Men’s Grooming Devices: The Multishape and premium Lamdash Shaver experienced 168% growth.
“Nutri Tafreez” Refrigerators: These refrigerators, known for their quick-freezing feature, registered 140% growth.
4K 120 Hz MiniLED Smart Televisions: Sales surged by 166%.
Steam Irons: Revenues increased by 136%.
Air Conditioners: Sales of units with inverters and nanoe™ X technology grew by 134%.
The region also saw remarkable growth of kitchen range, tough-style vacuum cleaners, washer dryers, and front-load washing machine—reflecting the resilience and adaptability of PMMAF’s business, driven by its innovative product portfolio.
Looking ahead, PMMAF’s strategy for FY24 centers on four primary areas: market expansion through strategic partnerships and product diversification, sustainability initiatives with a steadfast commitment to environmental protection and the well-being of future generations, and enriched customer experience by enhancing interactions through innovative solutions and leveraging digital transformation for improved engagement and operations. To support these goals, key leadership changes have been made, with Hiroyuki Shibutani stepping into the role of CEO and John Hardy being appointed as the new COO. These changes reflect PMMAF’s commitment to positive transformation and agile leadership in a dynamic market environment.
The event also served as reminder about sustainability continuing to be a cornerstone of Panasonic’s philosophy. Through the Panasonic GREEN IMPACT (PGI) initiative, the company is committed to achieving net-zero CO2 emissions from its operations by 2030 and significantly contributing to global emissions reduction by 2050.
To conclude Panasonic Influencer Affiliate Program 2023, award ceremony was held to recognize the efforts of PIAP participants. 17 influencers from UAE, KSA, Oman and Kuwait attended the event.
PMMAF also announced the third edition of the program which is PIAP 2024 to be launched soon and acknowledged it as a strategy instrumental in strengthening PMMAF’s connection with digital content creators across the Middle East, helping increase brand awareness and engage effectively with the community.
At the event, PMMAF showcased 74 new products designed to bring “Japan Excellence” to homes and businesses. These innovations highlighted the company’s dedication to quality and forward-thinking solutions, supporting the ethos of “Create Today. Enrich Tomorrow.”
PMMAF Annual Dealers Convention in Dubai was attended by 152 business associates and 42 media representatives, showcasing the expansive range of products in air conditioning, audiovisual, kitchen and home appliances, and health and beauty.
