Neymar Jr. himself will select the best performance for the "NEYMAR JR.'S CRAZY SKILLS AWARD"!
Osaka, Japan - Panasonic Corporation released a new web content, "360° OBSERVATION CAM," on December 21, 2015 at 10am (Japan Time), where users can view the 360-degree footage of Neymar Jr.'s amazing skills on smartphone or computers.
Panasonic supports the dreams of children around the world who want to "be as good at football as Neymar Jr." through Panasonic technology in the "NEYMAR JR. CRAZY SKILLS" project. In June 2015, Neymar Jr.'s amazing skills were reproduced in super-real 3D computer graphic video, and made available to view on the smartphones or computers via a website "NEYMAR JR. CRAZY SKILLS". This website has been viewed in 190 countries around the world by December, 2015.
The "360° OBSERVATION CAM" was made using Panasonic graphic technology to deliver a new content on the "NEYMAR JR. CRAZY SKILLS" website. Neymar Jr.'s amazing skills can be viewed from a 360-degree perspective, and the footage can also be replayed in slow motion or zoomed-in on his feet. When it is launched, eight plays are now available to view, in Japanese, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Going forward, content will be regularly updated.
With "360° OBSERVATION CAM," you can easily enjoy your favorite plays anytime in the real footage, just by accessing the "NEYMAR JR. CRAZY SKILLS" website via smartphone and select the skill you want to see from the list.
Neymar Jr.'s advice to children who want to get better at football, is to "thoroughly watch the technique you want to learn, and practice that technique over and over again." In order to support this advice, Panasonic used eight advanced lens-integrated Panasonic 4K camera recorders AG-DVX200 with 4/3 type sensors, a world first*, to record Neymar Jr. from a 360-degree perspective as he performed his amazing skills. Use intuitive smartphone navigation to change the view on the 360-degree image at will, and also check the fine details of Neymar Jr.'s movements with slow motion and zoom up functions.
A circle of artificial turf was placed in the center of the stage, creating a little football studio in the stage space. There were technical challenges involved in keeping Neymar Jr. in the frame of all eight cameras, always shooting with him in focus, but through numerous testing in advance, the distance between Neymar Jr. and the camera, the lens size, and the range of possible motion that Neymar Jr. might make were all simulated in preparation for the shoot.
Neymar Jr.'s movements were even sharper than the staff imagined, and during the shooting, they hooted and clapped whenever he repeated a skill.

Comment from Neymar Jr.
Neymar Jr. once said, "There's no shortcut to improvement. There is only accumulated practice. In that sense, I'm glad I like practicing so much!" which reflects his sincere attitude towards football. Now with the NEYMAR JR. CRAZY SKILLS campaign, he told of his hopes, saying "I hope you all will watch these contents and practice a lot, and show me your crazy skills."
