Bruce Lee and Neymar da Silva Santos Junior Power Up Panasonic's 'ideas for life'

Following the article introducing Sarah Brightman and Dia Mirza, who have teamed up to promote Panasonic's 'ideas for life', we'd like to introduce two world-known male celebrities supporting Panasonic's campaign: Bruce Lee, the most influential martial artist/movie star in Asian history; and Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, a world famous football player active in Brazil.

In August 2010, Panasonic announced its new FULL HD 3D VIERA TVs and FULL HD 3D camcorders at the Shanghai International Convention Center.
Aside from the impact of the new 3D technology, Panasonic made another surprising announcement by revealing Bruce Lee as the image character for its 3D promotional campaign in China. At the site, visitors were able to come face to face with a real-life image of Bruce Lee in 3D despite 37 years since his death. Realized using the latest computer graphics technology, the image of Bruce Lee was a surprise for all the viewers.

Since the event, Bruce has appeared in stores as well as cities around China moving around ad-wrapped buses in Shanghai from August to early September and touring other cities in China thereafter.

Bruce Lee is a Chinese American, martial arts instructor, philosopher, film director, film producer, screenwriter and founder of the Jeet Kune Do martial arts movement. His Hong Kong and Hollywood-produced films elevated the traditional Hong Kong martial arts film to a new level of popularity and acclaim, and sparked a major surge of interest in Chinese martial arts in the West in the 1970s. Bruce Lee was named by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century. His best known works include Fist of Fury in 1971, Enter the Dragon in 1973 and The Game of Death in 1978.

The Panasonic Group has formed constructive partnerships with various professional football organizations: GAMBA OSAKA, a professional football club in Japan, All India Football Federation (AIFF) in India, and also Santos Football Club with the star player Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior in Brazil. In particular, on April 29, 2010, Panasonic appointed Neymar as its eco ambassador at Estadio do Pacaembu football stadium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He appeared at the event alongside the children of Panasonic do Brasil Limitada (PANABRAS) employees and commented, "I'm very happy to associate my image with Panasonic, one of the largest technology companies in the world who has prioritized the protection of the environment. I'll be a spokesperson for environmental initiatives for my generation, which certainly can and should change the world we live in."

Neymar is expected to appear in promotional materials and advertisements for products, at sales outlets and participate in activities and environmental initiatives at Panasonic.

The 18 year old football player is said to be one of the biggest revelations of Brazilian football in recent times. "Boy's Town" is one of the most frequently quoted phrase by the press to comment on Neymar's highly skilled, quick and superb technique and accurate shooting coupled with the young age and physical vigor. Neymar started his career for the youth team of Santos Football Club at the age of 11 and has recently shown excellent performances such as his three goals at the Paulista Championship in 2009, 12 goals at the Brazilian Championship in 2010 and the top scorer at the Brazil Cup 2010.
