Panasonic to Showcase Tomorrow's Lifestyle with Advanced, Broader Networking at CEATEC JAPAN 2008

Osaka, Japan - Panasonic, the leading brand by which Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. is known, will showcase its vision of a new lifestyle under the theme of "Tomorrow's Lifestyle with Advanced and Broader Networking" at CEATEC JAPAN 2008, a comprehensive cutting-edge IT and electronics trade show, to be held from September 30 to October 4, 2008 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City on the outskirts of Tokyo.

As digital high definition (HD) TVs, Blu-ray Disc players/recorders and other HD AV products have become widely available, consumers now enjoy beautiful and high-quality HD images in their homes. Meanwhile, advanced home networking technologies are facilitating an environment where a variety of the AV equipment can be connected seamlessly via high-speed wireless home network. With the connectivity extending to AV devices, home appliances and housing equipment such as lighting and air conditioning, a comfortable and convenient life people dreamed of is coming closer to realization.

At the Panasonic booth, visitors can see Panasonic's vision of a new lifestyle with Panasonic's HD TV in the center of a home network providing a broader connectivity with a wide variety of equipment and appliances not only in the living room but all around the house, in the car, outdoors and all areas of life. Panasonic will demonstrate its comprehensive ability, bringing together the strengths the company cultivated in a wide range of areas under the Panasonic brand. The company will change its name to Panasonic Corporation effective October 1.

The Panasonic booth will focus on the following three concept zones and new products.
