Panasonic Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. (President: Yoshiaki Kushiki) announced that it has begun shipments of its FOMA P702iD mobile phones to NTT DoCoMo, Inc. Developed in collaboration with Mr. Taku Satoh, a graphic designer, NTT DoCoMo and Panasonic Mobile Communications, the FOMA P702iD enables the user to enjoy 4 variations (Square White, Square Black, Round Silver and Round Coral) in two forms and four colors. The P702iD focused on leveraging its simplicity, enriched functions, fun and user-friendly features.
Using the designed-in new “Hikari (Light) Drops®” feature in which the LED light in the 128 gradation sequence faintly flickers on the surface of handset, the user can enjoy smooth illumination changes in conjunction with sounds such as incoming calls or mails, the pre-installed melodies and music. The brightness and color of the LED can be adjusted. You can choose from a large selection of illumination patterns. Feel*TalkTM function can notify you how you felt in your previous telephone conversation.
The P702iD is compatible with DoCoMo’s Chaku-Uta Full® service enabling the user to download full music tracks from i-mode sites easily. Up to 2GB of music content can be stored in the miniSD Card (sold separately), allowing the user to create their own music library. While the P702iD provides enriched functions such as Push TalkTM Wakie-talkie communications, Chakumoji® and Data Security ServiceTM, the light weight of approx. 109 grams is realized.
