Thank You to Everyone Involved!

Together, all members of the editing team took up the challenge to modify the existing framework of the company newsletter. Thanks to the support received from our employees during the production process and the invaluable assistance provided by our partner companies, we managed to successfully complete the renewal. We will continue to highlight the various personalities within the Panasonic Group.

The guide lights produced at the Niigata Factory have captured the top share in the industry.* I couldn’t help but snap a quick picture!

Employees, Too, Are Important Customers

I interviewed Suzuki, who introduced the automated transfer system, and Tokuyoshi, who promotes karakuri-based worksite improvements. Digital (former) and analog (latter): At first glance, these are contrasting approaches, but they are the same in that they are both customer-oriented in approach and are closely connected to the worksite. I was greatly inspired by their daily efforts in helping those involved in manufacturing bring happiness to others.

I experienced first-hand the power of Sugopika materials to easily repel dirt and grime! I thought about getting my own home remodeled...

Getting a Feel for My Ideal Lifestyle

During the interview at the Panasonic Showroom, Tanaka actually looked after me and talked with me about the problems I was having at home. Her conversational skills to get down to the essence of things and the solutions she proposed according to different lifestyles were eye-opening. More than anything else, though, it was Tanaka’s positive attitude toward work without fear of change and her high level of hospitality that made me a fan. Be sure to visit the Panasonic Showroom when you get the chance!

Shedding Light on Historical Facts with Follow-up Research

Our first bicycle, introduced in Stories behind Panasonic History. Although the story of having the National logo in 101 places sounds like a lie, it's true. Legend has it that there were over 100, only about 30 were visible on the rusted-out bicycle. This surprising historical fact was uncovered in obscure documents from follow-up research to ascertain the truth.

Illumination at Rugby Town near Kumagaya Station. The day before the interview, the sky was clear enough to take this beautiful picture...

On the day of the cold chain interview, it snowed heavily in the Kanto region. I regretted my decision to do the interview in the afternoon. I rushed and was somehow able to finish it and escape before the snow started really falling. Despite those circumstances, I got to hear from the front lines. I would like to share the frontline employees’ thoughts and attitudes toward employee entrepreneurship, which resonated with me personally.

Michiko Ogawa, Director in charge of Kansai External Relations and EXPO Promotion, explains the idea of “Unlock your nature” to the mass media. Photo taken during the Land of NOMO Concept Presentation in November 2023.

Speaking of Unlocking...

NOMO NO KUNI (The Land of NOMO) is the name of the Group’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The phrase used to embody the concept of unleashing your mind, body, yourself and the world is “Unlock your nature.” The encouragement to embrace your uniqueness and unlock your potential is directed not only at the children of our core target Alpha generation but also at us employees. Don’t miss the Land of NOMO!

Becoming a Magazine Loved by All

It has been a year since we came up with the concept of making the Panasonic Group’s Company magazine into an open in-house one that can be widely read not only by employees but also by customers outside the company. At first, there was a lot of confusion, but we’ve finally made it to publication. We aim to become a magazine that is loved by all for years to come.
