Panasonic Showcases 4K B2B Solutions at NAB2014

Staged in Las Vegas ever April, 2014, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show is the world's largest electronic media exhibit covering film, entertainment and the development, management, and delivery of content across all platforms. This year, the show attracted 98,000 attendees from 159 countries and 1,700 exhibitors during April 4 to 10. Panasonic made news with exhibits of two new large-format 98" and 84" 4K LED displays, the VariCam 35 4K and VariCam HS pro-video camera/recorders, the AJ-PX270 shoulder-mount camcorder and the LUMIX GH4, an interchangeable lens consumer camera that is able to shoot excellent 4K video.

Panasonic proudly unveiled the new VariCam 35 to media following a standing-room-only press conference. Kunihiko Miyagi, Director of Professional AV Business Unit, proudly showed and emphasized the VariCam 35's ability to shoot 4K video, which delivers four times the resolution of high-definition video.

As interest grows in 4K content capture, production and distribution, Panasonic has engineered 98" and 84" 4K LED backlit LCD professional displays to reproduce stunningly sharp images in a streamlined form factor with the system expandability required for professional 4K applications.

Videographers lined up for a chance to try out the LUMIX GH4. Panasonic staffed key areas of the booth with LUMIX experts who explained the GH4's 4K video capabilities. One awed video pro commented: "Wow! This isn't just vaporware."
