Panasonic Brings Smart Living to Europe at IFA 2012

Panasonic has unveiled its exciting range of advanced digital audio-visual products and solutions as well as, for the first time, its home appliances at the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin 2012 (IFA), Europe's leading consumer electronics fair, being held at Messe Berlin in Germany, from August 31 to September 5, 2012.

Panasonic LIVE @ IFA

This year, Panasonic is again hosting a live and interactive broadcast from IFA to enable people from around the world to share the Panasonic IFA experience and explore a world of innovation. Anyone unable to attend IFA in Berlin can access online via computer as well as tablets and mobile devices and take part in the event, hosted again this year by Patrice Bouedibela, and ask product experts questions about the latest Panasonic products and technologies. This year prestigious guests, including Mr. Kazuhiro Tsuga, Panasonic President, will be taking part in LIVE @ IFA on September 3. Booth Hightlights

This year Panasonic is proposing a "Smart and Eco Lifestyle," and at the Concept Zone, located at the center of the Panasonic booth, the company is demonstrating the concept for such a lifestyle that can be achieved by linking together a wide range of products covering every aspect of everyday life, from audio-visual equipment to home appliances and energy related products.

The Panasonic booth consists of the following three main areas:

This zone introduces Smart AV Networks which link various digital AV equipment to improve usability and offer a new style of viewing, Smart Appliances, which provide a new degree of convenience through linking home appliances to cloud services via smartphones, and Smart Energy Solutions, aimed at realizing a sustainable lifestyle by linking equipment for energy creation, household storage batteries and energy-saving appliances.

Digital AV Zone

This zone allows visitors experience the latest AV technologies, including the company's wide range of cutting-edge digital AV products with improved network functions, such as its Smart VIERA televisions which offer a greater ease-of-use due to their connectivity to smartphones or tablets, WiFi-compatible LUMIX digital cameras, and AirPlay compatible audio equipment, along with high resolution displays and 3D technology.

Panasonic has also received 3 awards for its AV products at the recent European Imaging Sound Association (EISA) Awards, and these award-winning products are on display at the Panasonic booth at IFA 2012.

This is Panasonic's first time to exhibit home appliances at IFA. At the booth, a broad range of products are on display, including refrigerators that offer the industry's best energy-saving performance, washer/dryers, kitchen appliances, and beauty care and grooming products.

In addition, the Design Corner features products designed under Panasonic's Future Craft design philosophy which include flat and thin-bezel TVs, drum-type washing machines, refrigerators, cooking appliances and LED light bulbs which have won prestigious awards such as the Gold iF Design award.
