Green Curtains Spreading Worldwide

April 27, 2011 (Czech Republic)
For reducing electricity consumption during the summer, employees at Panasonic Automotive Systems Czech, s.r.o. (PASCZ) planted wild vine seedlings two years ago along the factory walls and have been tending the seedlings since. In a few years, windows and walls will be covered with vines, which will protect the factory from direct sunlight and keep the room temperature from rising by the cooling effect of transpiration from leaves.
