Using Creativity to Root for the Athletes

In this story, let's run through our advertisements you will be able to see and even experience during this Olympic season and only this season.

Panasonic has been an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio and Visual Equipment category for more than 20 years, ever since The Olympic Partner (TOP) Program was introduced at the Calgary Olympic Winter Games in 1988. Now, towards London 2012, a variety of activities is on-going worldwide. Let us introduce our campaign, exclusive Olympic products/supporting AV equipment at Olympic stadiums, all of which can only be experienced during the Olympic season.

A part of the hype of the Olympic Games is the amazing advertisements you see only during the Games season. Take a look at how Panasonic is spreading its passion with its advertisements.

Mika Yoshikawa, a Panasonic Employee and 1,500m Top Runner in Japan

Panasonic will be sending Mika Yoshikawa, an employee of the company and an athlete for Team Japan to the London Olympic Games for the women's 10,000m race. Originally, she was a 1,500m top runner in Japan, but she had always had a longing to run in longer races on the international stage where many Japanese runners were active. Even though she had to balance her office work, Ms. Yoshikawa has been running hard on the tracks to make the dream come true. After putting in extreme efforts, she has finally obtained her first ticket for the race in London. "It is an honor to participate in the Olympic Games and I thank all my fans and colleagues who support me. Without their support, I would have never been able to achieve this. I'm really grateful for all of the encouragement and will try hard at the Olympic Games!" she said. The women's 10,000m race which she aims to finish in the top eight in the final will be held on August 3 (GMT). We hope you can give her the support and cheer her on when you see her!
