Panasonic Awarded SAM Gold Class Distinction
in Sustainability for Third Consecutive Year

Panasonic believes the concerted efforts to implement its management philosophy of contributing to the society through business activities have led to these honors.

Osaka, Japan - Panasonic Corporation has been awarded the Gold Class distinction for the third consecutive year by SAM*1 (Sustainable Asset Management), one of the highly recognized asset management companies for sustainability investments. The distinction follows its recognition as Supersector Leader in Personal & Household Goods of the 2010 Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes*2 (DJSI) in November last year. The company was among the 19 Supersector Leaders with a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Since its founding in 1918, Panasonic has maintained a consistent management philosophy of contributing to the society through its business activities.
