Panasonic Awarded SAM Gold Class Distinction in Sustainability for Two Consecutive Years

Osaka, Japan - Panasonic Corporation has been awarded the SAM Gold Class distinction for two consecutive years by SAM (Sustainable Asset Management), one of the world's most highly recognized asset management companies for sustainability investments.

Every year, SAM researches on companies' with strong CSR initiatives and performances based on economic, environmental and social dimensions. From approximately 2,500 of the world's largest companies with excellent CSR activities, SAM awards Gold Class, Silver Class, and Bronze Class recognitions to outstanding performers. Out of 392 sustainability leaders, 97 companies have been awarded Gold Class recognitions this year. In particular, Panasonic has been evaluated highly in the areas of operational eco-efficiency, risk management, and labor practices.
